I recently upgraded from 10mbps to 25mbps and this router has topped out at approx mbps. I have reset it to factory to no avail and cannot find anything to adjust my speed. Bypassing the router gets me the 25mbps.
Is there a setting to up my download speed or is this router just not capable despite being advertised as mbps capable. Hi RonQ Do you have the latest firmware installed? By the way, the Mbps is for the wireless speed while you're expecting for the Internet throughput.
Yes, newest firmware is installed and it still tops out at 16mbps even though it should be 25 mbps and it is capale of mbps. Its been restarted, upgraded and factory reset to no avail. Try to check if reducing the MTU will help. It is the router itself that is slowing the connection. RonQ I will forward you to our support team for further hardware troubleshooting. The lack of an answer? The slow pace of response? That's odd, support have contacted you asking for your preferred date and time for troubleshooting but it looks like you did not get that response.

I just got an email today about a firmware upgrade for my WNRv3 router. I followed the instructions in the email, and also logged into my router to check the firmware version number. The router's firmware version is the same as the version mentioned online for the upgrade, so can I assume that I already have the firmware upgrade I need? If I do, then kudos to netgear's router software and server for mentioning the upgrade some weeks before I actually got the message about the upgrade. I have followed the instructions, but I do not have a "maintenance" button when I log in to my router. Please help me with the firmware upgrade. I had the same email and tried following the steps to upgrade the firm ware, but I am unable to log into the router - it says I am not connected to the WiFi network even though I am on a computer that is connected via LAN and it says "Connected. I'm not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. SupeDogg What's the exact version of your router?
