I was wrong to say initially that you didn't need BootCamp. You do, but just to get a driver for the trackpad. I don't think there are any drivers written for Windows for that device. I would just go get a similar device made for Windows and be done with it.
Thanks for your quick response. OK, yes, when I was researching, I kept seeing 'use win10 on a mac computer with bootcamp'. So, then, how can you use the trackpad with the win10? Now, my son said for sure that it CAN be used with windows with a bluetooth connection, but he got his PC second hand. For one thing, it's wireless card and I know that's something else is either missing or broken, so it may not have the ability to connect to bluetooth.
And, although my son can be scatterbrained, he knows about electronics. Need solid, simple help from this community regarding new mouse driver and installation. I'm not a computer expert. Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. Is that possible at all? Download the latest boot camp support sw from Apple. You should have your scrolling working for the Apple magic mouse. This driver will get your Apple mouse to work on non Apple computers. Open "Apple Software Update" in Windows. It will download drivers for Boot Camp 6.
