I was doing whatever on my Dell Inspiron series laptop, and a window popped up in the bottom left corner of my screen, and I think I tried to close it I'm not sure. When I tried turning it back on, SupportAssist showed up and said they were scanning my computer for hardware issues. After waiting about 20 mins for it to end I hit esc because in the bottom right, it says "The mouse is not active during testing.

Press ESC to stop testing. I tried powering it off and on again also, but nothing is happening its just repeating. Now I'm just waiting for it to end somehow while typing this on my phone as it continuously loops.

As you can tell, I'm kind of a tech newbie, and I would upload a picture, but don't know if I can. If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.

For direct contact with Dell please see the "General Support" section below. I installed Windows 10 from Microsoft website and have a clean installation on my Dell laptop. To update drivers I just ran through the device manager and updated drivers manually. Are there Dell certified and published drivers I need to install using this? I ask this because couple of weeks back I had an issue with high CPU utilization under idle conditions due to some support assist related service running rogue on my laptop. I had to disable it manually. I just want to keep my drivers and BIOS updated. I didn't touch any of the drivers on the site nor through support assist.
